Kasargode: There has been a murder attempt on president of BJP Kasargod district Advocate K Sreekanth. He was ambushed by a gang of four at around 10.00 pm on Monday. The miscreants came astride motorbikes, which had their number plates concealed with black coloured stickers. Fortunately Sreekanth was not in his car at the time of attack.

According to reports, the incident took place in Melepparambu Kattakkalil, when Sreekanth’s car was waylaid. Sreekanth and BJP state samiti member Suresh Kumar Shetty were returning from a party related programme which was held in Kanjangaad and Neeleswaram. Sreekanth alighted at his residence in Thrikkannaattu, after which his car was used to drop Suresh Kumar Shetty at his residence in Kasargod. The vehicle was returning when it was accosted by miscreants.

This is the latest incident which once again confirms Intelligence reports warning of attacks against BJP and other Sangh affiliated organizations and persons, in the district of Kasargod.
