Kochi:The Kerala High Court on Thursday reserved its orders on a public interest litigation seeking a direction to the Centre to grant subsidy to Christians for their pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine. The petitioner Francis Albert general secretary of the Latin Catholic Aikya Vedi submitted that Christians should be given subsidy at least on the eve of Christmas and Easter on the lines of subsidy being granted to Muslims for their pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. A Division Bench of Chief Justice VK Bali and Justice S Sirijagan reserved orders on the petition. The petitioner also sought constitution of a high power pilgrimage committee for Christains on the pattern of the Haj Committee
