08/08/2012 21:52:26

Seva Bharathi along with Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram, VHP and Hindu Bodo Suraksha Parishat have set up 56 relief camps in four sub-divisions of B.T.A.D. They have three ambulances rendering round the clock medical services. Two doctors from Gujarat are now offering their service for 10 days. 20 cartons of medicines, mosquitoe nets, blankets, ladies saris, biscuits, baby food etc. were distributed.  Around 3000 to 4000 families were sheltered in the relief camp.  Initially the organisations have planned to rehabilitate 500 families.

An Appeal:

Victims at camps are in need of books, cloths and also food. Relief clothing provided now is used clothes. New cloths need to be provided soon.

Huge finance is required and any amount is small. Not yet calculated the exact amount required as Seva bharathi is using its relief fund now. So any amount of donation will help immensely.

Funds credited directly to Seva Bharati, Guwahati account will be of immense help.

BJP MPs to contribute for relief of victims of Assam violence
New Delhi, Aug 14: BJP MPs from both Houses of Parliament today decided to contribute Rs 50,000 from their MPLAD fund for relief and rehabilitation of those affected by ethnic violence in Assam and the people displaced by the landslides in Uttarakhand.

At its weekly Parliamentary Party meeting, BJP MPs offered to contribute Rs 50,000 for the two relief funds from their MPLAD fund. The party is also likely to contribute some amount to this fund.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP VP Singh Bhadnor suggested that members contribute from their salary instead of the MPLAD fund. However, this was shot down by other members.

Bhagat Singh Koshiyari raised the issue of the difficulties being faced by those affected by the recent landslides in the Uttarkashi region. Harin Pathak discussed the Black money issue on which Baba Ramdev had gone on a fast. He was asked to raise the issue in the Lok Sabha today during Question Hour.

BJP is also likely to reshuffle some of its members in the various Standing Committees of Parliament. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj praised the party's performance in Parliament in highlighting the problems related to the ethnic violence in Assam and also raised the issue of the recent violence in Mumbai

Donate carefully
i will like to request the samiti to ensure that these funds collected from hindus are spent for the wellfare of the hindus only not for someone else on the name of secularism. Also Dear Hindus dont donate at all to temples or gurus as most of the temples are controlled by Gov.& the members or trustees are not hindus sympathisers and even not hindus. The money of hindus will never be spent on Hindus.Secular media or even some politicians have talked about the nationalisation of temples asset. So be cautious while donating at temples.

a great humanitarian job
A great humanitarian job by VHP AND SEVA BHARATI. WHAT DO THE BITERS OF VHP - RSS or the ANTI-CANVASSING agencies (certain politicians and media)comment on this humanitarian and philanthropic gesture of these great organisations. By the way seva bharati is service wing of RSS.
I will surely contribute to this cause and request the pseudo-secularists also to contribute to emulate VHP AND RSS who stand in support to such Nation's cause whenever warranted. That is called Nationhood.
"It is not the non-Muslims but the so-called Muslims themselves, who have defamed and vilified their own simple, veracious and unfeigned religion which is said to be preaching peace on earth. They have themselves presented an ugly image of their God-fearing and simple religion before the world."
